& Grow Your Own Fruit Rubus Phoenicolasius 15cm Pot X 2

Discover the charm and dual appeal of the Japanese Wineberry, an ornamental climber that adds beauty and flavour to any garden setting. This unique shrub delights with bright red, furry stems in winter, transforming into a lush display of lime green foliage adorned with clusters of bright red, juicy fruit by August. The berries are a delightful blend of sweetness and tanginess, perfect for both fresh snacking and culinary creations like jams or pies. Japanese Wineberries are an ideal choice for those looking to extend their raspberry harvest season, bridging the gap between summer and autumn with its abundant crop. Easy to cultivate, Japanese Wineberries require the same care as summer raspberries. They thrive in sunny locations with well-drained soil enriched with compost or well-rotted manure. These self-fertile plants are remarkably resilient to pests, thanks to their bristly stems that deter insects. Support the vigorous canes with trellises or arches to ensure optimal growth and fruit production. After harvesting, prune out the old canes to make way for new growth, ensuring a robust crop year after year. How to Grow Instructions: Light: Full sun.
