& Crocus Dutch 20 Bulbs

Crocus 'Dutch Purple' produces large, goblet-shaped flowers in rich royal purple, each bloom highlighted by striking orange stamens. These hardy spring-flowering bulbs create a bold splash of colour when planted in groups and are ideal for naturalising in lawns and grass. The strong, reliable plants are also well suited to perennial borders, rockeries and planting beneath deciduous trees and shrubs. Their compact size makes them an excellent choice for patio containers, where they can provide an early spring display close to the house. Crocus 'Dutch Purple' is easy to grow and will return year after year when planted in suitable conditions. Combine with other spring bulbs such as daffodils, snowdrops and Iris for a colourful seasonal display. How to Grow Grow Crocus 'Dutch Purple' in any well-drained garden soil in full sun or semi shade. Plant the spring-flowering bulbs during autumn in large groups at a depth of approximately 10cm (4") and space them around 7cm (3") apart. Alternatively, grow Crocus in containers or naturalise them in grass for a natural-looking spring display. After flowering, allow the strap-like foliage to die back naturally. If growing in grass, avoid mowing the area until the foliage has completely died back. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 5cm (2").
