Daffodil Double Classic Mix is a beautiful collection of double-flowered Narcissus, producing multi-layered, fragrant blooms in a range of glistening white, radiant yellow, sunny orange and apricot shades. The collection includes some of the best double daffodil varieties, including 'Acropolis', 'Bridal Crown', 'Golden Delicious', 'Replete' and 'Tahiti'. These reliable spring-flowering bulbs are ideal for creating colourful displays in beds, borders and containers. They also look particularly attractive planted in generous drifts through lawns or informal areas of grass. Once established, they will return year after year for a dependable spring display. How to Grow Plant Daffodil Double Classic Mix bulbs in any moist, well-drained soil in full sun or semi shade. Plant the bulbs at a depth of approximately 10cm (4") and space them around 10cm (4") apart. For the best effect, plant them in groups or drifts through borders and informal areas of grass. For a natural-looking display, scatter the bulbs across the planting area and plant them where they land. Daffodils can also be grown indoors in containers of bulb fibre. Place containers in a cool, dark and well-ventilated position at a maximum temperature of 10°C (50°F), watering sparingly to keep the compost moist. Once the growing shoots reach approximately 10cm (4") tall, move the containers to a cool, bright position indoors at around 16°C (60°F). After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally before removing it in June or July. This helps feed the bulbs for the following year's flowers.
