Narcissus 'Cornish Pencrebar' is a charming dwarf daffodil dating back to 1929. It produces clusters of shapely, double yellow flowers on slender stems, with a light floral fragrance adding extra appeal to the spring display. Growing to just 15cm tall, this compact Narcissus is ideal for rockeries, the front of borders and spring containers. The bright yellow flowers look particularly attractive planted alongside blue Muscari, while the blooms can also be cut for cheerful indoor displays. How to Grow Plant Narcissus 'Cornish Pencrebar' bulbs in any moist, well-drained soil in full sun or semi shade. Plant the bulbs approximately 10cm (4") deep and 10cm (4") apart. For the best effect, plant them in groups or natural-looking drifts through borders and informal areas of grass. For a natural-looking display, scatter the bulbs across the planting area and plant them where they land. Daffodils can also be grown indoors in containers of bulb fibre. Place containers in a cool, dark and well-ventilated position at a maximum temperature of 10°C (50°F), watering sparingly to keep the compost moist. Once the shoots reach approximately 10cm (4") tall, move the containers to a cool, bright position indoors at around 16°C (60°F). After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally before removing it in June or July. This helps feed the bulb for the following year's flowers.
