Thompson & Morgan Blueberry (Vaccinium) Patriot 3 Litre Potted Plant x 1

Blueberry ‘Patriot’ stands out for its large, flavourful berries and consistently high yields. As an early season variety, it ripens in mid to late July, making it one of the first blueberries ready for harvest. The bushy, compact plants are particularly cold hardy, tolerating cold, wet soils and resisting root rot better than other varieties, ensuring a reliable crop even in challenging conditions. In addition to its practical benefits, ‘Patriot’ enhances your garden with its ornamental qualities. The plants feature attractive white waxy blossoms in spring, followed by vibrant red and orange foliage in autumn. Perfect for growing in pots of ericaceous compost on a sunny patio, it combines beauty with the pleasure of home-grown berries. While self-fertile, for best yields, it’s recommended to grow ‘Patriot’ with another blueberry variety to enhance pollination. How to Grow: Light: Requires full sun for optimal fruit production. Temperature: Tolerates cold climates; ensure winter protection if necessary. Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Feeding: Use fertiliser designed for acid-loving plants.
