How to Grow:Plant in well-drained soil in full sun from September to December. Improve drainage with well-rotted compost or manure, especially on heavy soils. Separate each bulb into individual cloves and plant 2cm deep and 10cm apart, leaving 45cm between rows. Water during dry spells and weed regularly. Protect from birds with netting if needed. Harvest from May to August depending on the variety. Once leaves begin to yellow, lift bulbs gently with a trowel, clean, and allow to dry in a warm, airy spot before storage or use.
