It was started in 2013 by Mark Aramli, who had worked as an engineer on NASA's spacesuit programme, and it funded its launch through Kickstarter, where the company says it became the largest campaign ever to come out of Rhode Island.
According to the brand, a unit can cool or warm either side of a bed within seconds, draws body moisture out of the sheets and fits any bed without tools. The company says its design is protected by 11 patents.
