Hoseasons was founded in 1944 by Walter B Hoseasons, an Oulton Broad harbourmaster who owned a small boatyard and sold holidays on the Southern Broads in Lowestoft. The name is of Norse origin, meaning 'son of the sea'. The company pioneered TV advertising for self-catering holidays in 1957.
Key milestones include telephone booking in the 1960s, the 'dial-a-brochure' service in 1975, computerised systems in 1976, online booking in 1996, and a fully interactive website in 2001. Today, Hoseasons offers over 30,000 places to stay throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
Originally family-owned, the company was acquired by Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK in 2010 and is now part of Awaze, one of Europe's leading managed vacation rentals businesses owned by Platinum Equity. With 80 years of experience and an Excellent Trustpilot rating, they're trusted by millions of customers.
