About Stakt

Stakt is a New York fitness equipment brand founded by friends Taylor Borenstein and Millie Blumka, who began developing a thicker, foldable alternative to the standard yoga mat in 2020. The pair pitched the company on Shark Tank in 2022, and the brand says TIME named the Stakt Mat in its “Best Inventions of 2023” list.

What Stakt sells

• The Stakt Mat, the Stakt Mat Pro with an added textured layer for grip, and the larger Pro XL, in colours such as Rosewater, Tide, Iron, Dune, Midnight and Seafoam
• Stakt Weights, a pair of adjustable hand weights that switch between 2, 4 and 6 lb each
• An adjustable weighted vest, resistance bands, mat towels, a tote bag and a mat cleanser spray
• Personalised mats and bundled sets

According to the brand, the mat is made from an EVA foam blend rather than PVC and is about twice as thick as an average yoga mat. The brand lists it at 12 mm thick and 69 by 24 inches flat; folded, it measures 12 by 24 inches and stands 3 inches high, so it can act as a block, step or seat.

Delivery and returns

The shipping policy says orders leave within 5 to 8 business days. UK visitors see prices in pounds, and a checkout quote to a London postcode showed Express delivery at £5.00 with 1 to 3 days in transit, both for a single towel and for a larger basket (checked October 2026). The free shipping above $100 is for US orders.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt through the brand's returns portal. A refund carries a 5.95 handling fee while store credit avoids it, and shoppers pay return postage on undamaged items. Personalised mats and shakers cannot be returned. Questions go to support@shopstakt.com.

The site menu listed bundled sets at 20% off (checked October 2026). Stakt also gives 20% of proceeds from its Rosewater-coloured products to The Pink Agenda, a breast cancer research charity (checked October 2026).
