About Le Puzz
Le Puzz is a jigsaw puzzle company based in Brooklyn, New York, founded in 2020 by friends Alistair Matthews and Michael Hunter, who collected vintage puzzles before designing their own. Most of the artwork is created in-house, with occasional artist collaborations, and the online shop sells to the UK, the US and other countries, showing UK visitors prices in pounds.
What Le Puzz sells
- 500-piece jigsaws with extra-thick pieces, which the brand hopes will let a finished puzzle be lifted in one go
- 1,000-piece jigsaws built around themes such as food, animals and tiny everyday objects
- 81-piece mini puzzles, including a set of single fruits such as Flat Apple, Flat Lemon and Flat Plum
- A 52-card deck of playing cards, plus stickers, keyrings, bandanas, clothing and a large puzzle bag
The company says its pieces are random-cut, so the shapes vary across the whole board instead of following a grid, and that it uses FSC-approved paper and packs each puzzle in a resealable bag that can be reused. It has also pledged to give 1% of the annual profit from its own website to environmental causes. Recent designs include 39 Animals, made with the artist and sculptor Donnie O'Donnell, and Charmworld, a collaboration with Haricot Vert.
Delivery and returns
Le Puzz packs every order itself and allows up to three business days for processing. Parcels to the UK and other countries travel with DHL, and the price is worked out at checkout from the weight and destination, as there is no flat international rate. Import duties or taxes, where customs charges them, are paid by the recipient on delivery. Within the US, orders to the continental states ship free above $100, and the company does not replace parcels that are lost or stolen.
Returns need approval from Le Puzz first and must be made within 14 days of the order arriving, with items unused and in their original packaging. The customer pays return postage, original shipping is not refunded, and accepted returns are settled with store credit or an exchange rather than money back. Cancelling before dispatch costs a 3% restocking fee, and damaged items should be photographed and reported to hey@lepuzz.com.
