About T.M.Lewin

T.M.Lewin is a London shirtmaker that Thomas Mayes Lewin started in 1898 with a shop on Panton Street, moving to Jermyn Street in 1903. After closing its UK shops in 2020 it relaunched online in 2022 under TM Lewin Shirtmaker Limited, which runs tmlewin.co.uk, and returned to the high street with a Bow Lane store in 2025.

What T.M.Lewin sells

  • Shirts in regular, slim, fitted and super fitted cuts, covering smart, non-iron, evening, casual and overshirt styles in twill, Oxford, poplin, cord and flannel
  • Two- and three-piece suits, suit jackets, trousers and waistcoats, Italian and flannel suits, and tuxedos for black tie
  • Merino and cotton knitwear, sweatshirts, polo shirts, T-shirts, chinos, coats and blazers
  • Ties and bow ties, cufflinks, pocket squares, belts and braces, socks, wallets and umbrellas

The brand's history page says more than 70 million of its shirts have been sold and describes Thomas Mayes Lewin as a pioneer of the button-through coat shirt. Five shops, at Bow Lane, Canary Wharf, Liverpool Street, the O2 Arena outlet and St Albans, all handle tailoring alterations.

Delivery and returns

UK standard delivery costs £4.95 and takes 3 to 5 working days, and it is free over £175. Next-day delivery costs £7.95 for orders placed Monday to Friday before 3pm; Friday orders after 3pm arrive the following Tuesday. Click and collect is free at the London shops and takes 2 to 4 working days. Orders from abroad can choose standard or express shipping, priced at checkout.

Unworn items in their original condition can be sent back within 30 days of order confirmation, though underwear and altered garments are excluded. UK returns go through an online portal or to a shop with proof of purchase, and the site header promises free UK returns. International returns run through Global-E and DHL, and the prepaid label cost and any duties come off the refund.

Ways to save at T.M.Lewin

Buying several full-price formal shirts, T-shirts, polos, chinos or knitwear pieces together lowers the price of each for UK customers, and a 10% welcome discount covers one full-price order (checked October 2026). A suit carrier is included free with any full-price suit jacket.

T.M.Lewin was founded in 1898 and is headquartered in London, with 5 (London and St Albans) locations.
