Peta Jane Beauty is an American self-tan brand founded by Peta Murgatroyd, the professional dancer known from Dancing with the Stars. Her brand story says she began working with a tanning specialist and a long-established lab in 2015, after weekly pre-show tans left her orange and sticky, and that the formulas took 8 years to refine.

According to the brand's FAQ, the formulas pair organically derived DHA with beet and sugar extracts and are vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free and made in the USA. It says most tans develop over 6 to 8 hours and last up to 7 days, that a full-size mousse gives roughly 6 to 8 full-body applications, and that none of the products contains SPF.

Delivery and returns

The UK storefront prices products in pounds, and international orders are handled by Passport, the brand's shipping partner. Delivery rates are worked out at checkout from the address, and duties and taxes are calculated and included at the same stage. Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days and are expected 8 to 14 business days after shipping. In the US, orders over $55 ship free.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase, and the customer pays the return postage. For a return label, the brand asks shoppers to email hi@petajanebeauty.com. Damaged or missing items should be reported within 30 days, with photos of the packaging and product, so that a replacement can be sent.
