The Shutter Store is a UK web retailer of made-to-measure interior shutters that customers measure and fit themselves. It is run by The Shutter Store Limited, incorporated in England and Wales on 12 April 2013 (company 08486920) with a registered office in Portslade, Brighton. Companies House lists TCMM Shutter Group Limited as its controlling shareholder, and the company page says the UK store opened in 2014.

What The Shutter Store sells

• Natural hardwood panels made from Paulownia timber, manufactured in China and sent out from a UK dispatch centre
• Waterproof Faux Wood panels made in the UK, plus a simpler Core Faux Wood range, sold for bathrooms and kitchens
• Perfect Fit frames that clip onto the window without drilling or screws, pitched at renters
• Full height, tier on tier, café style and solid panel designs, with options for bay, sash and tilt-and-turn windows and for doors
• Free colour and material samples

Prices are worked out per square metre in an online configurator. An optional free Design Review at checkout has a member of staff check measurements, panel layout and frame choice before production starts. The brand's FAQ gives all three ranges a 10-year guarantee from the day of delivery, and its terms limit warranty claims to structural defects, warping and significant paint or stain discolouration. The terms accept all major credit cards except American Express, and the homepage advertises PayPal Pay in 3.

Delivery and returns

Standard delivery to any UK address, including Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands and Islands, costs £15. Lead times depend on the range: Perfect Fit takes 1 to 2 weeks, or arrives the next working day on the mainland for £18 when ordered by 12pm Monday to Thursday, and faux wood takes 2 to 4 weeks, or 7 to 10 working days on the £35 mainland express service. Hardwood orders currently need 12 to 16 weeks (checked October 2026). There is no delivery to the Channel Islands, and buyers abroad must arrange their own collection from the UK dispatch centre. The courier, SFG, leaves boxes outside the property on weekdays between 8am and 6pm.

Because every order is built to the buyer's measurements, there is no change-of-mind return. Orders can be cancelled or amended within 1 hour of being placed, before they reach the factory, while Perfect Fit orders cannot be changed at all. Transit damage or a manufacturing fault should be reported with photos within 24 hours of delivery for a free replacement.
