Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a British charity that trains dogs to alert deaf people to everyday sounds, and this is its online shop. Vet Bruce Fogle and Lady Beatrice Wright co-founded it in 1982, launching it at Crufts as a three-year pilot. The charity is based at The Grange in Saunderton, Buckinghamshire, and is registered in England and Wales (293358) and in Scotland (SC040486).
According to Wikipedia, the Princess Royal has been the charity's Royal Patron since 1992, and in August 2017 the organisation merged with Hearing Link. Shop pages describe every purchase as helping deaf people.
The shop sends parcels only to UK and BFPO addresses. Orders below £40 carry a £4.50 charge, while orders over £40 go free. Anything ordered before 2pm on a working day is dispatched that day, later orders the next working day, and delivery takes 3 to 5 working days.
Goods can be sent back in good condition within 14 days for a refund or replacement. Buyers cover return postage and remain responsible for the parcel until it arrives, so an insured service is advised; returns go to the fulfilment firm Ravencourt Ltd in Stamford. For a faulty item, the shop asks buyers to get in touch before posting anything back, by email or on 01844 348188 between 10am and 3pm on weekdays.
