DistaCart is an online marketplace that ships goods from Indian brands and sellers to customers outside India, and it now presents itself under the shorter name Dista. Kiran Kotla, who according to the site has lived in the US for more than a decade, launched it in 2017. The site claims a catalogue of more than 500,000 products from over 5,000 Indian brands, delivered to 40-plus countries.
The Dista Promise on the site says it will match a lower price found elsewhere and knock a further 5% off, and it gives credit when a delivery is late or extra customs duties are charged (checked October 2026).
UK orders go by express shipping and take 5 to 7 days, according to the store's UK shipping table. Delivery costs £3 on baskets under £15 and is free from £15, prices are shown in pounds sterling, and the store says buyers face no extra customs duties. UK residents can also split payments into four instalments with Clearpay. In the US, shipping is free on orders of $59 or more.
The refund policy says sellers refund items damaged in transit in full if the buyer provides valid proof within 3 days of delivery. Undamaged goods can be sent back for other reasons, but the buyer pays to post them to DistaCart's US office, and DistaCart settles any dispute between a seller and a buyer.
DistaCart was founded in 2017.
