CoffeeB is a single-serve coffee system that swaps capsules for compressed Coffee Balls, developed in Switzerland by Delica, part of the Migros Group. Its UK and Ireland store, coffeeb.co.uk, is led by co-founders Steven Phelps, the chief executive, and James Newitt, with Lauren Williams as marketing chief, according to the brand and The Grocer. CoffeeB has been sold in Switzerland and Germany since 2022.
Each ball is roasted ground coffee held together by a plant-based coating instead of an aluminium or plastic shell. CoffeeB says used balls can go on a home compost heap or into a food-waste bin, and that its packaging is FSC-certified. The brand reports more than 700,000 machines and 220 million Coffee Balls sold in Europe.
Orders ship from a UK warehouse, and delivery to every UK address is free by Royal Mail 48hr; bigger orders travel by courier and need a signature. CoffeeB aims to dispatch within 72 hours, and it also delivers to the Republic of Ireland.
UK buyers can cancel by emailing hello@coffeeb.co.uk within 8 hours of ordering. After that, returns are arranged through the same address, and goods must be unused, complete and in new condition with the original box and any bundled gifts. Return postage is the customer's cost unless the item is faulty or wrong, and refunds are made within 14 calendar days of the parcel arriving back at the warehouse.
A Coffee Ball subscription takes 10% off each delivery, with free UK shipping and the option to skip, pause or cancel at any time (checked October 2026).
