Boroux is an American water-filtration brand headquartered in Pueblo, Colorado, in a building on a bluff above the Arkansas River. Its website gives 2015 as the founding year. It is a second-generation family business: co-founder and CEO Parker Emerson runs it with his sister Miranda, following their parents into water filtration. The name comes from borosilicate glass, used for its first product, a glass water bottle.
According to Boroux, its systems are certified by the Water Quality Association to NSF/ANSI/CAN standards 42, 372 and 401, and one set of Foundation Filters lasts up to 12 months. The brand rates its fluoride filters at 1,000 gallons and the shower filter at about three months, and it advertises a lifetime warranty on its systems.
Boroux ships to Britain and most other countries, and UK visitors see prices in pounds. Shipping, duties and taxes on international orders are charged at checkout, and the shipping policy warns that international parcels can take up to 30 days. Its free shipping over $60 applies to US addresses only, and some products cannot be sent to California or Iowa.
Returns are accepted in new or used condition within 60 days of delivery, in the original packaging. Each return needs an authorisation number from customer service first, and $16 is deducted from refunds sent back without one. Prepaid return labels are limited to addresses in the 48 contiguous US states, so UK customers arrange and pay for their own return postage. Refunds on international orders exclude the original shipping, duties and taxes.
Boroux was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Pueblo, Colorado.

UK shipping costs, duties and taxes are worked out and paid at checkout, so nothing extra is due on arrival. Boroux's shipping policy says international parcels can take up to 30 days, and its free shipping over $60 covers US addresses only.
Boroux accepts returns in new or used condition within 60 days of delivery. A return authorisation number from customer service is needed first; without one, $16 is deducted from the refund. Original packaging and any free item must be sent back too.
Boroux says one set of Foundation Filters lasts up to 12 months, with a scrub and re-prime every 3 to 6 months. It rates the Proactive fluoride filters at 1,000 gallons and the shower filter at about three months.
Boroux says its systems are certified by the Water Quality Association to NSF/ANSI/CAN standards 42, 372 and 401. Those cover particulate reduction for taste and appearance, lead-free materials and microplastics, and the brand publishes its test results online.
Yes, with limits. Boroux says its Foundation Filters handle many well-water problems such as heavy metals and chlorine, but they do not remove microorganisms, fluoride or arsenic. It advises against using water from a salt-based softener.
Boroux is a family business based in Pueblo, Colorado. Co-founder and CEO Parker Emerson leads it with his sister Miranda, the second generation of a family the brand says has 25 years of experience in water filtration.
