Vintage 1983 Coffee Cups Set 4 Dudson England Restaurant Ware Rare

A fantastic set of 4 genuine vintage Wimpy restaurant coffee cups, dating from 1983 – a brilliant and increasingly rare piece of British high-street and fast-food history. Each cup features the classic Wimpy logo and matching rim detailing, which has naturally softened and faded over the years to a warm red/orange tone. This authentic ageing gives the cups plenty of vintage character and reflects their history as pre-loved restaurant ware. The underside carries the original Dudson Brothers Ltd. backstamp, reading “Vitrified Tableware – Dudson – Made in England”, together with the date marking “4-83”. Dudson was a well-known British manufacturer of durable commercial and hospitality tableware. Finding original Wimpy restaurant crockery from this period is becoming increasingly difficult, particularly as a matching set of four, making these a fantastic addition for collectors of Wimpy memorabilia, vintage restaurant ware, British advertising, retro kitchenware or 1980s nostalgia. These are genuine vintage, pre-loved cups, so they do show age-related signs of previous use and wear. The slightly faded colouring is part of their authentic vintage appearance. Included: 4 x vintage Wimpy coffee cups.NO saucers are included. A wonderfully nostalgic and unusual survivor from the Wimpy restaurants of the early 1980s – original British-made Dudson commercial tableware, not a modern reproduction.
