840 1 ZBO Hex Pinned Security Bit Extra Tough

The Wera 840/1 ZBO 2.5mm Hex Pinned Security Bit offers a versatile middle-ground size for professionals working with a wide range of tamper-proof hexagon socket fasteners. This 2.5mm variant is particularly well-suited for light engineering, appliance assembly, and security installations where unauthorised access must be prevented. The tough viscous construction ensures this bit maintains its integrity even under demanding conditions and when working with hardened materials. Wera's innovative Hex-Plus technology sets this bit apart from conventional hex drivers by providing a substantially greater contact surface in the screw head. This reduces the notching effect to an absolute minimum and more or less eliminates damage to the screw head, protecting your investment in quality fasteners. The hexagon socket BO screw design, featuring a protruding pin in the drive profile, means that standard hex tools simply cannot engage these security fasteners. The 1/4" hexagon drive design ensures compatibility with Wera connecting series 1 holders and conforms to DIN ISO 1173-D 6.3 standards, making it suitable for use with major power tool brands.
