Sunflower 'Helios Flame' will set your garden alight with its bi-colour, flamelike blooms! This lovely, tall stemmed, Sunflower boasts large golden flowers embellished with dark mahogany rings at their centres. An eye-catching variety, the single blooms are each supported on a tall, sturdy stem. An ideal choice for bringing height to the back of sheltered borders and wonderful in wildlife gardens. Choose a position in full sun on well-drained soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Sow seeds thinly, at a depth of 1cm (1/2") in drills spaced 45cm (18") apart and cover seed with its own depth of soil to exclude light. Water the ground regularly, especially during dry periods.
