In the Spring time, masses of little creamy white flowers appear. This colourful variety will tolerate hard pruning, making it ideal for use as an evergreen hedge or decorative shrub. In frost prone areas, plant Red Robin next to a warm wall or in the shelter of other shrubs. Photinias like to be planted in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Plant Photinia shrubs at the same depth as they were planted in their pots, then back-fill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.
