& Pear Conference Patio Standard Potted Plant X 1 is available for £42.99 at Robert Dyas.
Pear 'Conference' - This well-known, popular variety is a delicious dessert pear which is also brilliant when cooked. Pear 'Conference' produces large, bell-shaped fruits with green skin and a juicy flavour. They can be eaten hard or fully ripe, though we recommend picking them when they are slightly under-ripe, ready to harvest from October to November, and store indoors in a cool place so they can ripen slowly. This variety is partially self-fertile. For the heaviest crops it is best grown with another variety. If you only have room for one tree then make sure that a neighbour has a tree close by that can act as a suitable pollinator. Estimated time to cropping once planted: 2 years. Estimated time to best yields: 5 years. Ideal For: Kitchen Garden, Wildlife Gardens Hardiness: Hardy Position In: Full sun Height: Up to 300cm Spread: Up to 300cm Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions may vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply, but may vary due to seasonality changes and may not be the exact variety.
