Ideal for woodland, water and garden cottages, as well as cut flower displays! Grow Lysimachia in a fertile, moist soil that does not dry out in summer. Loosestrife will happily grow in clay soils, at the margins of a pond or in a bog garden. Water Lysimachia plants regularly until fully established. In autumn, cut back old faded stems to ground level. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Lysimachia in spring to maintain their vigour. Apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or compost to the base of the plants each spring.
