Herb Sorrel is used regularly in many French dishes, proving popular as it’s a hardy herb thats easy for all to grow regardless of experience. A really easy way to add leafy texture and tart flavour to salads, soups and stews. Perfect for growing in containers on the patio or in low maintenance gardens. Direct sow sorrel seed outdoors from March to May. Grow sorrel in a well prepared, moist, seedbed in full sun or partial shade. Sow seeds thinly at a depth of 1cm (1/2") in drills 30cm apart. When seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them to 15cm (6in) apart. Fortnightly sowings of sorrel will ensure an ongoing supply of young sorrel leaves for adding to salads.
