Myosotis sylvatica 'Blue Ball' is a fantastic hardy biennial variety that produces masses of spectacular ball shaped blue flowers. A really easy way to create stunning displays in your cottage or wildlife garden. It also makes an excellent focal point in a container on the patio or in a rockery. Easy for all to grow. Sow in late spring early summer outdoors in a well prepared seed bed. Sow the seeds very thinly 3mm (1/8in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart. Keep the soil damp until germination takes place and thin out the seedlings to 15cm (6in) apart when large enough to handle. Transplant 23cm (9in) apart into flowering site in the autumn for flowering the following spring.
