This variety is commonly known as a Japanese shield fern. A semi evergreen fern that produces airy copper-pink fronds that mature to a light green as they grow. Producing neat clumps that make perfect ground over when planted en masse in woodland areas. This variety is perfect for planting in shaded borders where it will produce beautiful, coloured shades and textures creating a natural planting scheme. Dryoperis Erthrosora need to be planted in a lightly shaded position in reliably damp soil. Height: 60cm (24”). Spread: 40cm (16”). Plant Dryopteris in a sheltered spot. Choose a position in dappled shade on fertile, moist, acid or neutral, soil.
