Dianella revoluta ‘Blue Stream’ features broad, glaucous-blue evergreen leaves that cascade gracefully from dense clumps. Though technically a rhizomatous perennial, it is often used similarly to ornamental grasses. Once established, it is drought-tolerant, making it an excellent choice for mass planting in gravel gardens where its striking steely-blue leaves catch the light, providing a beautiful contrast to mound-forming plants.
