Narcissus 'Cornish Treglisson' is one of the earliest flowering daffodils, producing cheerful citrus-yellow blooms from late January in milder parts of the UK. This Cornish-bred variety has a sturdy, upright habit, with each stem holding its flower head high above the foliage. Its early flowering makes it an excellent choice for adding colour to the garden when little else is in bloom. Plant Narcissus 'Treglisson' alongside Crocus and Winter Aconites for a bright spring display, or grow it in borders and informal areas of grass where it can return year after year. How to Grow Plant Narcissus 'Cornish Treglisson' bulbs in any moist, well-drained soil in full sun or semi shade. Plant the bulbs approximately 10cm (4") deep and 10cm (4") apart. For the best effect, plant them in groups or natural-looking drifts through borders or informal areas of grass. For a natural display, scatter the bulbs across the planting area and plant them where they land. Daffodils can also be grown indoors in containers of bulb fibre. Place containers in a cool, dark and well-ventilated position at a maximum temperature of 10°C (50°F), watering sparingly to keep the compost moist. Once the growing shoots reach approximately 10cm (4") tall, move indoor containers to a cool, bright position at around 16°C (60°F). After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally before removing it in June or July. This helps feed the bulb for the following year's flowers.
