Sow on damp, free-draining compost and lightly cover. Keep at 15–20°C. Pot on once seedlings have 2 true leaves. Transplant to final positions when 20cm tall and hardened off. Outdoors, plant after all risk of frost, spacing 60cm apart. Use canes and soft ties to support. Feed regularly and water consistently.
