Sweet Pepper 'Hamik' produces small, 6cm fruits that mature from green to bright orange. The thick, juicy flesh is very sweet and almost seedless, making them perfect for eating straight from the plant. Compact plants suit patio containers, greenhouses, or sheltered outdoor positions. This variety is awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit for its reliable performance and outstanding flavour. Harvest peppers singly by cutting from the plant, and provide regular water and feed for best results. Growing InstructionsSow seeds on the surface of free-draining, damp seed compost and cover lightly. Keep at 18–25°C until germination (7–10 days). When seedlings are large enough, transplant into 7. 5cm pots and grow on in cooler conditions. Transplant outdoors after all risk of frost has passed, spacing plants 45cm apart. Water regularly, feed weekly with a high-potash fertiliser, and stake taller plants if needed. Mulch around the base to conserve moisture and reduce weeds.
