Clematis ‘Niobe’ brings a rich, dramatic colour palette to the garden with its velvety ruby-red blooms that deepen to a deep wine-red as they mature. Each star-shaped flower spans up to 15cm (6in) and features striking greenish-yellow stamens for contrast. Flowering from late spring to autumn, this compact, hardy perennial climber offers months of vibrant colour. A smaller variety, Clematis ‘Niobe’ is ideal for patio containers, small trellises, and obelisks, or it can be grown at the back of borders to add height and interest.
