The narrow, sword-shaped foliage forms an arching clump of leaves, which will gradually spread to form a slowly wandering drift of colour. Crocosmia ‘Spitfire’ is somewhat better behaved than other varieties, with a compact, dwarf habit. This is a fabulous choice for exotic borders or adding to a hot colour-themed herbaceous border.
