Oak Tree

When I say sleep, you’re free again. A father loses his daughter to a car accident. The man behind the wheel is a stage hypnotist. When the father volunteers for the hypnotist’s act, these two men meet face to face for the first time since the accident. What follows is a live theatrical experience like no other - a poignant yet absurdly funny exploration of loss, suggestion and the power of the mind. Tim Crouch’s groundbreaking exploration An Oak Tree returns to London this autumn with a new slate of co-stars, each seeing the script for the very first time live on stage. Previously performed with some of the greatest actors in the world, this unique production ‘vividly celebrates the live, raw, communal experience of theatre’ (Financial Times). An Oak Tree is presented by the Olivier Award-winning producers of Fleabag, Baby Reindeer and Weather Girl.
