Stormdry MAX Enhanced Waterproofing Barrier is a clear, moisture-curing gel coating for long-lasting protection against water ingress, surface cracking and graffiti. It forms a flexible, breathable film that bridges hairline cracks up to 0.6 mm wide, preventing penetrating damp on masonry, stone, concrete, painted surfaces and selected metals.This advanced coating is ideal as a topcoat for walls already treated with Stormdry Masonry Protection Cream, particularly where multiple fine cracks are present. On its own, Stormdry MAX delivers up to 10 years of exterior weather protection when applied to suitable substrates.In anti-graffiti applications, it provides a non-sacrificial surface that can withstand up to 15 wash cycles. It also offers low-level flood resistance when used in conjunction with Stormdry Repointing Additive No.2 and Stormdry Cream. Applied no higher than 600 mm above ground level, it contributes to localised flood defence on external walls.Stormdry MAX is supplied ready to use and is applied using a brush or roller. It dries to a semi-gloss finish, which fades over time. The coating is touch-dry after 2 hours, tack-free after 4 hours and fully cured within 24 hours under normal conditions. Coverage is 4–5 m² per litre, depending on surface texture and porosity.Surfaces must be clean, dry and structurally sound before application. Previously treated surfaces with Stormdry Cream require no preparation, but untreated walls must be cleaned and any biological growth removed. Stormdry XR-Mortar can be used to repair cracks prior to application. For spray application, Stormdry MAX can be thinned by up to 10% with white spirit and applied with a suitable high-pressure unit.Once opened, the product begins to cure on contact with air and should be used immediately.
