Wooden Bug Bee Hotel

Welcome new and exciting guests to your garden with this brightly coloured bug hotel. Bugs and bees are a vital part of our eco-system. Provide a safe place for insects and bees to hibernate and lay their eggs. This act of kindness is reciprocal and your new friends will help you to keep down the number of aphids in your garden and also pollinate your plants. Bugs and bees like to live in sheltered areas that are not too wet but do have some level of moisture. Each part of your bug hotel contains different elements which will attract various insects, for instance, ladybirds just love pinecones and will feel right at home in the lower level, the wire mesh will protect them from their natural predators. The bamboo tubes are like nectar to solitary bees who will fly into the hollows and make a nest, females will fill the hollow with pollen, lay an egg and then seal the entrance with mud. The slot in the centre is perfect for butterflies and moths.
