Heavy Duty Post Hole Digger

The Spear and Jackson Heavy Duty Post Hole Digger is a professional-grade tool designed for creating deep, straight-sided holes for fence posts, signposts and landscaping applications. Built with twin hardened and tempered carbon steel blades, this robust digger is engineered to handle demanding ground conditions faced by contractors and landscapers. The blades open to a maximum width of 140mm, allowing you to produce narrow, vertical-sided holes that minimise backfilling requirements and reduce material waste. This design is particularly valuable when installing multiple posts, as it speeds up the workflow and ensures consistent hole dimensions across your project. At 1470mm in overall length, the tool provides excellent leverage for penetrating compact soil, while the substantial 37mm diameter wooden handles deliver both strength and user comfort during extended use. Chrome plated steel bolts and locknuts on each handle ensure reliable operation and long-term durability, making this post hole digger suitable for regular professional use on site.
