Square Engineers File

This 8" (200mm) Bastard (Coarse) square engineers file is designed for rapid material removal from metal workpieces. The larger 8-inch length provides excellent reach and leverage for tackling substantial filing tasks, whilst the double cut coarse pattern ensures fast, aggressive cutting action when you need to remove material quickly. Ideal for heavy-duty applications, this coarse file excels at initial shaping work, removing mill scale, cleaning up rough castings, and preparing surfaces before finishing with a finer file. The square profile makes it particularly useful for filing internal corners, slots, and keyways to precise dimensions. The comfort grip handle reduces hand fatigue during extended filing sessions, while the integrated hanging hole allows for easy workshop organisation. Perfect for engineering workshops, fabrication shops, and maintenance applications where speed and efficiency are priorities.
