No.1 Strap Wrench

The Ridgid No.1 Strap Wrench is a professional-grade pipe wrench designed for gripping and turning polished or finished pipework without causing surface damage. Ideal for plumbers and heating engineers working with chrome, copper, or other decorative pipe finishes where traditional Stillson wrenches would leave marks, this tool provides a secure hold whilst protecting the workpiece. Built with a sturdy cast-iron housing and an I-beam handle for strength and durability, the wrench features a strong woven nylon strap that tightens around the pipe to deliver a firm grip. This 425mm wrench accommodates pipes up to 90mm in actual outside diameter, making it suitable for a wide range of domestic and light commercial plumbing applications including radiator valves, tap fittings, and polished pipework installations. The tool is particularly effective on any polished pipe where surface protection is essential. A special strap version is also available for use with plastic pipe, providing versatility across different materials and applications commonly encountered in modern plumbing work.
