19th century French Louis Philippe Chest Drawers

A handsome 19th-century French chest of drawers, believed to be made from ash, with three generous full-width drawers and a shallow concealed drawer within the decorative upper frieze. The top has been stripped back, lightly sanded and finished with a fresh clear wax, revealing the lighter natural tone and pronounced grain of the timber, while the main body retains its warmer aged finish. Simple antique brass handles, original locks & keys with restrained moulded detailing give it a really good balance of practicality and old French style. H:100cm W:126cm D:56cm
