3 x Belarina Series Violetta Autumn Bedding 9cm Pot

Primula 'Belarina Violetta' forms a compact clump of evergreen leaves, producing masses of large, fully double, rose-shaped flowers with delicately ruffled petals and a light, sweet fragrance. Perfect for brightening patio pots, window boxes, rockeries and the front of borders, this deer and rabbit resistant hardy perennial creates an eye-catching display just when the garden is waking up. The nectar-rich blooms are a welcome early food source for pollinators, while its neat habit makes it easy to tuck into almost any planting scheme. Reliable and easy to grow, simply remove spent flowers to encourage an even longer-lasting show. For use as winter/spring bedding plants, plant primulas into fresh, free-draining compost and position pots and baskets in a bright, sheltered spot, avoiding harsh midday sun. Water well after planting, keep the compost just moist through winter, remove faded flowers regularly, and protect containers from prolonged hard frost to keep plants tidy and flowering well. Alternatively, plant out in a partially shaded and sheltered position, adding position, adding plenty of leaf mould and compost to the planting hole and backfill. Water well until established. Divide large clumps in late spring or early summer after the plant has flowered.
