For organisations where preserving physical records is essential to business continuity, the extended two-hour fire protection makes the FS2270 particularly well suited to demanding professional and commercial environments. Protection for Digital Media In addition to paper documents, the FS2270 provides 60 minutes' fire protection for digital media, including USB memory sticks and hard drives. Tested to the MTC DIP120-60DM fire test standard, this provides additional protection for digital information that may be stored alongside physical records. For more sensitive computer data and media, the optional Phoenix FSDPI08 Data Protection Insert can be positioned inside a drawer to provide a dedicated protected environment. Water & Impact Protection Important documents can be threatened by more than fire alone. The FS2270 incorporates water-resistant seals designed to help prevent water damage when the cabinet is exposed to sprinkler systems or fire hoses during firefighting. It has also undergone a 9.1-metre fire and impact drop test, designed to simulate the impact of falling through the burning floors of a building. Together, these features provide valuable additional protection for irreplaceable business records during a serious fire. Choice of 2 or 4 Drawers The FS2270 is available in two capacities: FS2272 – 2 Drawer Fire Resistant Filing CabinetThe compact option provides 102 litres total capacity, with 51 litres available within each drawer. At 765mm high, it is an excellent choice for smaller offices, departments or lower-volume document storage. FS2274 – 4 Drawer Fire Resistant Filing CabinetFor larger filing requirements, the FS2274 provides 204 litres total capacity across four 51-litre drawers, making it particularly suitable for organisations maintaining substantial quantities of important records. Three Locking Options Both sizes are available with a choice of Key, Electronic or Fingerprint locking, allowing access control to be matched to the requirements of your organisation. Flexible Independent Drawer Locking The locking system operates independently on each drawer, allowing individual drawers to remain locked or unlocked as required. This provides valuable flexibility in a busy working environment. Frequently accessed records can remain readily available while drawers containing confidential, sensitive or restricted documents remain secured. Designed for Professional Filing Unlike storing documents inside a conventional fire safe, the FS2270 has been designed specifically around the everyday requirements of professional filing. Width-adjustable rails accommodate Foolscap, A4 and A5 suspension files, while compression plates help keep files organised and make efficient use of the available space. The cabinet is finished in a high-quality, scratch-resistant RAL 9003 White paint, providing a clean and professional appearance suitable for modern offices, legal practices, financial organisations, healthcare environments and records departments.
