KC0080 Key Control Cabinets Mechanical

Key Control Cabinet | Peg-In / Peg-Out Accountability | 25–100 Key Positions The Phoenix KC0080 Key Control Cabinet Series provides secure and organised key storage with a practical peg-in/peg-out control system, helping businesses keep track of keys that have been issued and returned. Designed for organisations where key accountability is important, the KC0080 combines robust steel construction with colour-coded key identification, additional key hooks and a choice of Electronic or Mechanical Combination locking. Available in three sizes with 25, 50 or 100 retention pegs, the range is ideal for offices, estate agents, property managers, vehicle businesses, facilities management and other commercial environments where multiple people require controlled access to keys. Peg-In / Peg-Out Key Control The key feature of the Phoenix KC0080 is its peg-in/peg-out key control board. Rather than simply hanging keys inside a cabinet, the system provides a straightforward visual method of monitoring which keys are currently available and which have been issued. When an authorised person removes a key, the corresponding access peg can be used to identify that the key is currently in use. This provides an effective, easy-to-understand method of improving key accountability without requiring a complex electronic key-management system. Colour-Coded Key Identification Each cabinet is supplied with colour-coded square key tags, helping different keys or groups of keys to be quickly identified. This can be particularly useful where keys are organised by: Building or property Department Vehicle Room Site Individual user Key category Additional key hooks are also positioned on the inside of the cabinet door, providing further organised storage. Three Key Control Capacities The Phoenix KC0080 is available in three sizes, with capacities for 25 - 100 key positions. Electronic or Mechanical Combination Locking Each cabinet is available with a choice of two keyless locking systems. Electronic Lock – E Electronic models are fitted with a high-quality programmable electronic lock with a key override facility. Features include: Programmable 4–6 digit access code Up to 80 User Codes Key override facility Tamper time-out protection Low-battery warning The ability to create multiple User Codes makes the Electronic model particularly useful where a number of authorised members of staff require access to the cabinet. Mechanical Combination Lock – M Mechanical models feature a high-quality push-button combination lock. The lock provides: Over 8,000 possible code combinations Keyless operation No batteries required This makes the Mechanical model an excellent option where convenient coded access is required without relying on batteries or electronic components. Robust Steel Construction The Phoenix KC0080 is considerably more substantial than a lightweight domestic key box. Construction includes: 2.5mm thick steel body 3mm thick steel door Solid square-body construction This provides robust physical protection suitable for regular use within demanding commercial environments. The KC0080 should, however, be considered a commercial key-control cabinet rather than an independently burglary-rated security safe. Where independently certified burglary protection is required, SafeFort recommends considering the Phoenix Fortress KC0040 S2 Key Safe. Secure Wall Mounting All KC0080 models incorporate pre-drilled fixing holes for wall mounting. Secure wall installation helps prevent unauthorised removal of the cabinet and should form an important part of the installation process. Durable Professional Finish Each cabinet is finished in a high-quality, durable powder-coated finish, providing a clean professional appearance suitable for commercial environments. Ideal for Commercial Key Management The Phoenix KC0080 is particularly useful for organisations where several authorised people regularly remove and return keys. Typical applications include: Estate and letting agents Property management companies Facilities management Vehicle dealerships Fleet management Hotels Schools and colleges Offices Maintenance departments Commercial and industrial premises The peg-in/peg-out system provides an important advantage over a conventional key cabinet by making it easier to identify when a key is currently away from its normal storage position. SafeFort Recommendation The Phoenix KC0080 Key Control Cabinet is an excellent choice for businesses that need more than simply somewhere to store their keys. Its key advantage is the peg-in/peg-out control board, which provides a simple visual method of improving accountability when keys are regularly issued to members of staff. The KC0081 is ideal for smaller key collections, while the KC0082 provides increased capacity for medium-sized organisations. For larger requirements, the KC0083 provides 100 retention positions together with 50 access pegs and 50 additional key hooks. For most multi-user commercial environments,
