The tablets are suitable for both adults and children aged 16 years and above. What are the key features? Bismuth subsalicylate 262.5mg in each tablet. What are the other Ingredients? Sodium, Aspartame (E951) and Amaranth (E123). Ingredients Usage How to use Pepto Bismol 12 Chewable Tablets Chew or dissolve two tablets in your mouth. Repeat the dose every 30-60 minutes if needed. Usage Warnings Precautions to consider before using Pepto Bismol 12 Chewable Tablets Do not take if you are under 16 years of age due to a potential link between salicylates and Reye's syndrome, a very rare but serious condition. Do not use if you are allergic to bismuth subsalicylate, salicylates including aspirin or any of the other ingredients. Do not use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a stomach ulcer, blood clotting disorders or bloody or black stool. Seek medical advice if you have fever, mucus in your stools, blood clotting disorder or gout; or if you are taking medication for thinning the blood (anticoagulants), diabetes, gout, arthritis (methotrexate), or tetracycline antibiotics.
