Being slower grown the annual growth rings are closer together which allows less moisture penetration and makes the timber easier to plane to a good quality finish. Natural moistures drawn from the wood during the summertime, are replaced in the winter. In this way you will benefit from the extra use of the products in fair weather outside the normal summer season. The factory pressure treatment applied prevents wood rot for 20 years or more. The timber only requires a general feed with wood preservative every two to three years to prevent drying out PEFC SUSTAINABLE TIMBER The timber is harvested and replanting is carried out under the National Finnish Forestry directives in order to protect this valuable resource for the future to the economy and to protect other biodiversity and habitat in the forest areas.
