At The Orkney Distillery, were fiercely proud of Kirkwalls heritage and our traditional game, the Ba. Played for centuries on Christmas Day and New Years Day, the Kirkwall Ba sees Uppies and Doonies compete through the streets to carry a handcrafted leather ball to victory - no rules, no time limit, just pure Orcadian spirit! Named after the old Norse word for 'street', each GATA release is distinct in character - much like the Uppies and Doonies themselves - drawing unique colour and flavour from our carefully selected casks. GATA Victoria 🍷- Matured for 5 years in a ruby port cask, this gin is rich, full-bodied, and beautifully deep in colour. GATA Albert 🥃- Aged for 5 years in a bourbon cask, offering subtle sweetness with a hint of smokiness. With limited stock and no future GATA releases planned, this is the perfect moment to secure a bottle - or both - of these rare, cask-aged gins.
