70cl / 59.7% / Distillery Bottling - Octomore, the annual exploration of peat from the Islay distillery Bruichladdich is returned! 17.1 was made with heavily peated (81.0ppm) mainland Scottish barley and aged 5 years in ex-bourbon casks. It presents emphatic coastal peat with greater subtleties underneath, as notes of green apple, vanilla, toasted marshmallow and bay show intriguing depth past the immediate impact of smoke.
