5-HTP or 5-Hydroxytryptophan is a naturally occurring compound our bodies manufacture from the amino acid tryptophan. 5-HTP is converted into serotonin in the brain, where it acts as an important chemical messenger. 5 HTP is a well-researched nutrient, with over 15 published studies supporting its use. 5 HTP supplements are now a top-selling supplement in the USA. And its long history of use has shown it to have an excellent safety record. Each of our taste-free coated 5 HTP UK tablets provides 100mg of pure 5-HTP a level widely used in published empirical studies. We also insist on using the purest grade available for our 5 HTP supplement. The 5-HTP in our formula is extracted from the seeds of the griffonia simplicifolia tree. These seeds are carefully and sustainably harvested to ensure our raw materials are of the highest quality. Unlike many other 5 HTP UK products, this makes our formula a natural source, not synthetic. The raw material in our 5 HTP UK supplement also undergoes heavy metal and microbiological testing to maintain the strictest quality and safety standards. Our 5 HTP formula is also made to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in UK factories. We've chosen to provide our 5 HTP UK in small, easy-to-swallow tablets instead of capsules since this material can deliver highly concentrated amounts of the compound. Our 5 HTP UK formula is suitable for both vegetarians and vegans. Unsure if our 5 HTP supplement is for you? Don't worry. Our expert Nutrition Advisors are here to help.
