Lemon balm, used since ancient times, is una a perennial plant with winding roots, whose leaves and flowering tops are used. It gives off a delightful lemon scent, hence its other name, lemongrass. Sedative, antispasmodic, tonic and stimulant, una was once cultivated in convent gardens. Other plants and spices, transported in the 19th century by the great sailing ships of the Specs Road, are now produced and selected fresh or dried, in plantations around the world. Consuming lemon balm water on una sugar cube means not diluting it, which makes it even more effective, especially in cases of digestive problems. Furthermore, the sugar cube allows you to measure the amount of product absorbed. The sugar provides a taste counterbalance to the alcohol. However, it is possible to dilute lemon balm water (3 teaspoons) in a glass of fresh water, sweetened or not, in a herbal tea, in an infusion, or even for external use, undiluted, after una a fall or trauma. Lemon balm water should not essere be used by children under 12 years of age, due to the alcohol content.
