What is Ramie Ramie, extracted from the Asian nettle plant (Boehmeria nivea), is one of the oldest textile fibres known to humanity. This naturally white fibre combines exceptional strength with quick-drying properties, offering a distinctive silky luster and excellent shape retention. While similar to linen, ramie's hollow fiber structure provides unique temperature regulation and wrinkle resistance, though its complex processing makes it more costly than other natural fibres.
