Carbon Steel Transplanting Trowel

The Kew Gardens Carbon Steel Transplanting Trowel is a premium gardening hand tool created through a collaboration between Spear & Jackson and the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. This narrow-bladed trowel combines traditional craftsmanship with practical horticultural expertise, making it an excellent choice for transplanting seedlings, bedding plants and smaller specimens where precision is essential. The carbon steel head delivers exceptional strength and durability, offering at least 50% greater strength than stainless steel alternatives. A hammer-finished epoxy coating protects against rust, humidity and soil alkalis, ensuring the tool performs reliably season after season. The extended tang design provides improved leverage and better knuckle clearance to prevent grazed hands during prolonged use. The FSC-certified ash handle is weather-proofed for enhanced durability in outdoor conditions, whilst a leather wrist strap enables convenient storage when not in use. Depth markings on the narrow blade assist with accurate bulb planting and ensure consistent transplanting depth across your garden beds.
